This page will be where I write about things to do with my work and education. I have been working as a design engineer since about 1998, where I started as an apprentice. I had a two-year break from working when I decided to get a degree in Automotive Engineering so I could change the direction of my career towards the automotive industry, as I have a passion for cars, so designing aspects of them is the ideal job for me. I currently work for an automotive design consultancy, whose speciality is assisting mainstream OEMs in developing new and existing engines and also they have their own line of products.
I have a lot of interest in all things technical and creative. I intend writing, on these Engineering pages, helpful information based on, for example, what I did at university for my degree; information which I would have found very useful whilst researching. Obviously I do not intend to give too much away on particular subjects, as I would rather encourage people to come to their own conclusions, just as I did. But giving some guidelines and ideas really helps to get thoughts in motion.
