This is an online portfolio of some examples of work that I have undertaken. Most are from periods of employment, some are from my degree course undertaken between Sept 2005 to June 2007. Pages are in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent work on this page.

Some images from my Crankshaft Design Package, which is my Final Year project. The project is to develop a tool that will automatically produce a preliminary 3D design of a crankshaft based on key inputs by the user. The input is in the form of a spreadsheet (Excel) which is driving a Pro/Engineer Model, which covers a range of configurations from 3 to 12 cylinders, inline and vee.

As an addition to this, torsional analysis and static FE analysis have been undertaken. The torsional study is to determine the natural frequency of the cranktrain, which has been done by Holzer's method by hand and then verified using a Modal anlalysis in Pro/Mechanica. Some images from my second year project where I modelled Jaguar Inlet ports, by taking a mould and having this laser scanned. The model was developed in Solid Edge, then using I-DEAS to create a mesh for CFD analysis in Fluent.
