Had an incident with the car last week. Set off early one cold morning and about 5 minutes into my journey I had a sudden loss of power. Not complete loss of power just a sudden reduction. It felt just like the traction control kicking in, which is what I assumed it was, but then the power did not return. In fact I had very little power and a new message on the dash "Engine System Service Required" (or was it Urgent?).
123,000 oil and filter change
123,750 low beam bulb replacement
This guide is more of an account to my experience changing the wishbones and ball joints on the Volvo V70 as there are probably different and perhaps better ways to do it. Therefore this is not a definitive guide and should be treated as just an account of my experience.
Think this is my first log since owning the car. I have done about 8,000 miles in it already and have had to do a bit of work.
Work recently completed includes:
The box emulates a CD changer to allow music on a USB drive or SD card to be accessed from the car stereo as if it were CDs in the changer. blah blah...
After the demise of the E34, I had to get a new car in a hurry. Had a few ideas of what I wanted to go for and one of them was a Volvo V70. Always liked the shape of them, they have good safety ratings and are pretty big, which is something we still need at the moment. Plus my wife liked the look of the Volvo, so I didn't have to 'sell' it to her :)
